Dr. Charles Redmond
Dr. Charles Redmond is the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church Pasadena, Texas. Following his powerful leadership, the church relocated from its downtown Pasadena location to its current location at Fairmont and Red Bluff in 1999.
Dr. Redmond’s education at Georgia State (BA), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv) and Luther Rice Seminary (DMin) as well as his experience leading churches in Tennessee and Texas prepared him to be the dynamic leader and powerful preacher that has helped First Baptist become the church that it is. The churches’ love for God, love for God’s Word and its desire to be known as a house of prayer are a direct reflection of its Pastor.
He and his wife, Dottie, live in Pasadena and have two grown sons, a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
Dr. Jon Redmond
Dr. Jon Redmond is the Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church Pasadena, Texas. He came to our church in 1995 as a temporary student minister. As the church saw how God had gifted him and what a great addition he would be to our ministry team he was asked to stay on as our Student Minister. He is now a vital part of our staff as our Associate Pastor. His love for God’s people and his practical preaching style are the perfect complement to the Senior Pastor. They share many aspects of church leadership including preaching responsibilities in our four weekly services. Looking to the future, our church has voted to make Jon the next Senior Pastor.
One of his greatest strengths is sharing Christ with people and helping them grow in their relationship with God. Part of Jon’s preparation to lead First Baptist came from his education at Baylor (BA), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv) and New Orleans Baptist Seminary (DMin)
Jon lives in Pasadena.
